WP4: Brokerage activities

The overall objective of WP4 is to organise the findings about the ‘supply’ (WP1) and ‘demand’ (WP2) of indicators through knowledge brokerage activities. These brokerage activities will facilitate co-production of knowledge between the supply side and the demand side, which from our experience is a major factor that determines the uptake of this knowledge.

This work package has three main goals:

• Verify the drivers and barriers to using Beyond GDP indicators and find ways to overcome barriers in order to implement them, building on the results of WP1 and WP2;
• Develop a joint vision with target groups on how to use Beyond GDP indicators in policy making;
• Develop a draft joint action plan (“roadmap”) for implementing alternative indicators with target groups

The WP will involve running two workshops with a key group of actors working in a single field.  The first workshop, in April 2013 will identify the issues faced, whilst the second workshop (with the same actors) will take place in June 2013 and will attempt to identify the shared ‘vision’ or ‘roadmap’.
